Kitchens have so many design options that they are actually never ending. In designer Ray Sales space and TV govt John Shea’s hilltop home in Nashville, the kitchen features Roman Thomas pendant lights which are installed above the Ray Sales space-designed island, Ann Sacks tile was used for the backsplash, the sink fittings are by Kohler, and the stools are by BDDW; a painting by Louise Crandell surmounts the bar cabinet, at left, which was devised by Booth and is clad in an Edelman leather.
Varying the types from classic to modern, from nation home style to excessive-tech modernistic the designers play with the surfaces assertion – matt and shiny, darkish and lightweight, with and without handles – every with its one density and look.
The Victorian residence of designer Henry Quinta and his wife Francoise, in Perpignan France, has a kitchen full of loads of work surfaces on which to each prepare dinner and create flower preparations; a zinc-prime desk takes centre stag, and the concrete and wood sink items are a Quinta design.
